Introduction to 4D SW education programs
Preparation for the 4th Industrial Revolution and 2018 SW curriculum
In preparation of the 4th Industrial Revolution and 2018 mandatory SW curriculum, the 4D SW education camp provides family with an opportunity to experience SW coding. And it serves as a venue for family members to communicate and become closer to each other as children and parents participate in the program together.
Moreover, the event offers new contents and ideas in addition to SW coding education using LEGO MINDSTORMS Ev3 of ICT LAP and Wedo robot.
4DMechatronics
Program for nurturing convergent talent in STEAM and improving computational thinking
To nurture creative and convergent talents in preparation for the 4th Industrial Revolution, this convergence program assists children in recognizing various challenges and tasks based on computational thinking, visualizing the problem recognition and solving process, and experiencing how to design algorithms systematically, cooperate with one another and solve problems creatively.
4DMechatronics is a combination of three words - 4D of 4DFrame, Mecha of mechanics, and tronics of electronics. It is an education program for simple and rational design based on mechanical engineering and electronic engineering for addressing an issue in real life. It is also a SW-based convergence program connecting machinery/electricity/electronics/information-communications/SW coding.
Objective
Nurture talents that develop critical thinking, cooperation & communication, reasonable problem-solving skills and computational thinking, which are core future abilities in the 21st century, by creatively designing various themes and producing, presenting and sharing outputs.
